Jewelry, Ornaments & a Giveaway!

Are you one of those people that has started decorating for Christmas?  Like you just can't stand it, some things go up before Thanksgiving.  The stores are starting to do it, that makes it okay, right?

At the very least I know most of you are planning for it.  Unless you fall into the category my husband and I do which is wait until the week of to get the presents.  Yep, we're awesome like that.

Well, I have something that is going to brighten up your Christmas planning.  I don't know about you all, but I love personalized items.  I'm not talking every.little.thing personalized, I don't need my initials on my underpants, but you know, the items that mean something.  For example, I recently got my Lisa Leonard necklace and I adore it.  It has be boys names engraved on it and somehow it feels like they are closer to my heart that way.  I absolutely love it.
 If you don't know about Lisa Leonard Designs, you must go check her out.  She creates beautiful hand-crafted pieces such as my necklace here.

This holiday season she has also created quite a few ornament designs that can be personalized as well!  These are particularly special to me because growing up my parents would buy us our own ornament each year.  It was such a special tradition because the ornament would kinda represent what we were into each year.  What a great idea to have a personal or family ornament to remember each year!

1 Item 2 Ways ~ & a Giveaway!!

We all wish our closets were fuller than they are.  But when we get creative and learn to wear the things we DO have, it's like we have a Mary Poppins closet -- it just keeps giving!
As you have probably already noticed, I like to come up with challenges that help me work with the items that I already have in my closet.  Take this cowl, for instance...   You have already seen it here and I just can't seem to get enough of it lately.  I thought I would show you a couple ways it can be worn and how I chose to pair it.

First we have classy-Devil-Wears-Prada-ish chic work outfit.  Like, I run my own fashion magazine kinda outfit.  I look like that, don't I?  Ya, Thanks. :)  Please excuse the cell phone pics, I just got home from over 24 hours of traveling and straight from the airport to the salon for my new haircut. Hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
Then I went with a more casual feeling.  Throwing some torn jeans and boots with a cute sweater I'm ready for a shopping trip downtown.  I love the casual feel of this one and I LOVE how this cowl works both ways.  Oh and did I mention that it's a hooded cowl?  Just throw that baby over your head and you gotta... hooded cowl. You get the idea.  {we're keeping in mind lack of sleep when reading this, right? Thank you.}
All warm and fuzzy waiting for my first Starbucks since leaving for France.  Cowl and a Starbucks?  That sounds like the perfect fall combination to me!
Want one yet?  I thought so!  And Alysha of The Sunshine Stitch wants one of you lucky readers to have $25 to her shop!!  Can't wait to see who wins?  Well, she is also offering my readers 20% off anything in the shop using coupon code MANOUVELLEMODE.  All you have to do is:

1.) Be a follower of Ma Nouvelle Mode {mandatory}
2.) 'Like' The Sunshine Stitch on Facebook
3.) Share this giveaway via Twitter, Facebook, or blog!

Feel free to use this tweet:
"I would love to win @thetarrpit giveaway over @natalialsimmons blog! $25 to her shop! http://bit.ly/uZEDBu"

Good Luck!
Oh and I am choosing a winner for Smokey Eye kit in the morning, last chance to enter!

Giveaway!! Tutus and Bows!!

Guess what everyone!!  I have something special for ya!  One of my lovely sponsors is here today to tell you about her beautiful shop!  Her kids are adorable (mixed kids are the cutest, hehe) and I am so lucky I don't have a girl because I would be broke buying up all these bows and tutus!!  You have got to read on and check out her stuff.  It is beautiful and really well made.  I guess I could get some for my niece...

Hello Everyone,
My name is Suze from Time Well Spent, and I am originally from Haiti. In an interesting turn of events, I found myself living in the Mountain West of the United States. Being in a different environment took a little time for adapting, but I'm loving it here. I have two beautiful children(a 3 years old boy and an 18 months old sassy & bossy girl) who keep me busy most of the time and married to the most amazing man (November 2006). I love making bows, photography, sewing ( just started) and scrapbooks.
Actually, let me tell you when I started making bows. It all began when our family had a bit of a shock! Our second child was supposed to be another boy, but lo and behold, the doctor pulled out a girl! From that moment I have enjoyed the process of raising a little princess. In anticipation of when she would have a head of hair... (She is getting there)... I started to make hair bows and all things girly.
So now, I am a total bows and tutus addict, but wouldn't have any other way! My daughter has about three hair bows holders full with hair accessories   ( in the process of making her a four one, need more room) and about 5...6...ok 12 tutus and I even have one too, it was for Halloween,[don't judge me]or was it...?!
Recently, I decided to open a Etsy shop and share my passion with everyone...In the hope that they will pay for themselves and I can always continue making them knowing that some little one is enjoying having them. Hope, I haven't bored you guys to death, so here are some stuff you will find in the shop
Tutus
Headbands
 Belts and Matching bows
 Flower Bows and much more.

She has graciously offered to give one lucky reader 15% off her shop.  Don't worry, the giveaway is only a week long, so then you can get to shopping!  Here's how you enter...

I have these beautiful vintage coasters from Paris.  Gotta love it, typical Parisian!
 French coffee.  My favorite brand.  Yes, I know it says Colombia on it, but hey, it is a French brand.
