Friend Friday ~ Beauty Products

I just found Friend Friday through a lovely blog I like to read, Songs and Fairytales, and thought it would be fun to participate in.  I love makeup and feeling pretty when I am wearing it.  I love trying new looks with the products I have and mixing lovely colors.  So I thought I would join the party this Friday!  The original Friend Friday can be found on Modly Chic, a site I recently discovered.  Love all the beauty out there!  So here it goes ~

1. What’s your favorite drug store makeup product and your favorite higher-end product?  For drugstore products, I love Aqua CoverGirl tinted moisturizer (Target).  It is pur-fect for not wanting to wear a lot of makeup, or you don't have a ton of time to get ready.  Throw it on like lotion and it is light but enough to smooth out your skin tone.  Perfect for summer.  The high end stuff I like is MakeupForever HD foundation (Sephora).  It goes on so smooth and light.  Love it!

2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can’t live without?  Mascara.  I look like I haven't slept for days without it.  I use Christian Dior DiorShow.  The.Best.Mascara.on.the.Market.  I suppose that might also go in my high end stuff too.  But seriously the best. 

3. What’s the best hair product you’ve ever used?  Okay, so I am gonna be honest here.  I am not very awesome in the hair department.  I wish I was, really.  And someday I will be!  But now I just use Tresemme heat mousse or something like that.  Any suggestions are totally welcome.  I have frizzy hair that does.not dry nicely.

4. Fess up, what’s the worst beauty look you’ve tried to rock and look back at now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that?  This is slightly embaressing.  When I was young, and that is my only consolation, I wore the dark liner and light/no lipstick.  UGH.  I am still embarressed about it.  There I said it.  I feel so liberated!  Sorry, no pictures.  That would be pushing it.

5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flare and personality?  Seriously, I don't know.  I guess I am pretty normal.  I like to make my makeup a but fancy, like I might do a bit more than others.  But other than that, I am still workin' out my own personal style.
