Outfit in the City

Last Monday I announced to my husband that I would be taking a day off.  A day off from being a mom, you might ask?  Well, kinda.  As you might expect, living abroad away from your family and friends, with a language barrier, and two kids at home doesn't really leave a lot of time for yourself.  My husband is really great at giving me time when I need it, I just need to ask for it.  Let's just say he's not very intuitive.  ***Gasp*** a husband of a blogger who isn't perfect???  Yep, mine's not.  But I'll love him anyway.

So I woke up late, after Lavar had already gotten the boys up and ready, fed and Tae off to school.  He headed to practice and I hung out with the E-man a bit.  Then after hubs came home I was off!  I walked down our massive hill into town and caught the tram into centre ville (the town center).

I wanted to share with you some beautiful pictures of my city, St Etienne, France.  It is an industrial place, not very touristy.  I think it is gorgeous because of how the city sits in the middle of the mountains.  I will have to show you a picture of the view we have from our house sometime, it is incredible.

Isn't H&M in a very pretty building?  It's a big one, too, that I didn't know about before this little adventure!  It was on this trip where I purchased my iffy poncho (that I decided against, by the way) and a pair of RED jeans that I can't wait to show you.  I love them.

Here is what I wore on my little shopping trip.

Sweater - Old Navy (and it is actually really old); Skirt: H&M; Tights: Target; Boots: Carlos Santana from Famous Footwear; Cowl: The Sunshine Stitch
Earrings: c/o Avery's Loft // Necklace: c/o Lisa Leonard Designs (it has my boys' names on it!)

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I have some big things coming up next week, stay tuned!

I am linking this to WIWW over at The Pleated Poppy & Momma Go Round.

Beautiful town! You're like the complete opposite direction out of Lyon then we are. Are you heading in for the Fete de lumieres over the weekend?

Gorgeous outfit too!

It might be industrial but the architecture is still gorgeous.
You look like you fit right in there too! You'd never guess you're from LA. :)

love the trams! I just discovered how wonderful they are on a recent trip to Switzerland. They are much better than buses in my opinion. Also how does H&M snag all the prime real estate? They have a two story store in the Copenhagen airport. For realz. It's crazy (and very convenient)!
