A view from the Seine

Good Morning everyone!

Don't forget to link up your projects for Projects in Progress!  I would love to see what you are all working on or just completed!  Link it up baby!

Meanwhile, I have some pictures from Paris this weekend!  *Warning ~ I don't have any typically touristy pictures because we didn't do any of those things!  Instead, we cruised the Seine river and I got to see Paris from a whole new view!  Here we go...
That boat, to the left, yep that is my friend's house.  They live there, right on the Seine river.  And so of course they have a boat, which we used to cruise around in.  And the last picture is the wonderful view from the balcony of their 'house' if you can call it that.

Me and my boy.  Charlotte, our lovely host and Tae driving the boat with Florian, Charlotte's boyfriend.  Tae thought he was ballin'!

Few pictures from the boat.  Tae loved it, to say the least.

This is the smallest apartment in Paris.  Who would live there?  It is probably soooo tiny inside.  But probably soooo expensive as most things are in Paris.  From top to bottom on the right we have the mini Statue of Liberty, a beautiful bridge, and the outside of the Louvre.  The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame, all back up to the Seine river.  Whoever planned this city thought this through!

The Eiffel Tower!  I have been under it, up it, through it but I have never kissed it!!  A first for me!! :)

My boys.  Eli was not feelin' the life jacket.  Can you tell?  Then he conked out for most of both trips.  Niiiice.

This is as touristy as we got.  Driving from shopping in Paris on the way to the train station, the Louvre!  Beautiful!

Train ride home.  Believe it or not, Eli wasn't crying, he was just making faces.  Funny boy.  So Eli has been to 4 different countries, and been on a plane, train, subway, and boat before he was one!!  And Tae has been to 5 countries, and on a plane, train, subway, boat, and bus at 4 years old.  I hope they thank me later.  They won't.  Mostly because they (Eli) won't remember.  Oh well, we have pictures.

In May I leave France for the states and I have to fly 18 hours I think by myself with the two boys.  I was really nervous before this trip, but I am glad I did this trip because it was like a practice round for me.  Mommy-1, Boys-0.  We will see what the score is after my next flight...

What an amazing weekend!! I am incredibly jealous of you.

I was watching some real estate show a few days ago and some people were looking for an apartment in Paris and they were SO small...like 100-500 square feet, with shared baths. It was crazy. I guess people will sacrifice a lot to live in such an amazing city.

Too bad you have to leave in May. Make sure to fit in some fabulous adventures before then!

Wow Natalie! Such beautiful pictures...how awesome to stay on a boat. We are going back to Paris for a visit this summer...you made me want to leave right now.
You're life brings back memories of mine. Our kids were 5, 3 and 5 months old when we moved to Switerland for 4 years. They too, like your kids, traveled to MANY countries, cities and sights in Europe. They remember some of it but because it was their regular life they didn't register it as anything "special". How sad is that! lol
We are taking them back for a 10 day trip this summer....Switz., Italy, France. It's been 10 years since we moved back to the States so I'm so excited for them to experience it at an older age.
P.S. I can sooooo relate to the plane trips. I used to fly by myself with the 3 kids a lot! Oh, the memories!! haha Trying to manuvere baby stuff, luggage, carry-ons, ect. Priceless!

love it! I went on a boat ride on the Seine too!! It was at night though, so I'm appreciative for that pic of the smallest house! They announced it on the ride but it was hard to see. too funny to look at haha!

What was the mini Statue of Liberty doing there? I'm so envious of your trip on the Seine. I would love to do something like that. What good looking sons you have!
