I am having a lack of inspiration today.  My schedule has been a bit off since coming back to the states. Man I wish I was more organized!  I just thought we could all use a laugh today.  What did ya think?

My Second Wedding

A couple months back I got to be a part of a wonderful photo shoot.  It was so much fun.  Many of you might have seen the gallery of images, but I thought I would re-post many of my favorites.  The pictures were featured on Style Me Pretty, a popular wedding blog, and you can see the whole gallery here.

The photos were taken by Brienne Michelle Photography.  She is really really talented.  I was so impressed with the pictures.  My hair, which was super awesome, was done by the fabulously talented Anna Quinn.  Makeup was done by Kristen.  I felt like a rockstar!

 Lavar and I were married 4 years ago.  Unfortunately, I wasn't all that involved in the wedding planning.  Don't get me wrong, mom, it wasn't you!!  I wish I would have, but you know, young and stupid, I didn't put much thought into it and I didn't know much better.  The photography was one thing I didn't like.  He wasn't creative.  Our poses are us just standing there.  No props. Nothing fun. Such a bummer.

 But these pictures... I LOVE these pictures!  She was so creative with the lighting and poses and telling me where to look and what to do.  Cuz let's face it, I'm no model and I had no idea what looked good.  She was probably getting a good laugh editing these.  "She thought she was so sexy!! hahaha"

 So these pictures are my new wedding pictures.  I love them.  I am even gonna get them printed out and hang them.

 The only problem is that guy on the left there, don't know him.  And the girl on the right, I actually know her, so I guess that's okay.

 With all this beautifying going on, I almost actually felt like I could have been a model!  But then real life kicked in and I remembered how much I liked to eat.

 We had a blast at the reception! haha

Since I have been settling in here, I haven't scheduled too many posts and I am working at night so I don't get to put that much time into the blog.  Not as much as I would like to anyway.  But my plans are 1 hair video and 1 makeup tutorial a week along with some outfit posts and whatever else I feel like writing about.  What do you think?  Is there anything you would like to see or not like to see here?  What are your favorites?  What do you expect when you come to my blog?  Sorry for the questionnaire, just trying to get some direction!!

My kids crack me up...

They have to eat messy snacks outside.  For obvious reasons.  I mean, they are boys.  This is the faces I get when they want to come back inside...

 

 

As you can see from the messy door, they do this often.

What I love about summer.  I send them outside and say 'don't come back inside until dinner's ready!'

Not really.  But kinda.  But, like, nicely at least.

I love summer.

Swimming and Pet Turtles

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I have felt a little out of it lately because of everything that happened with my cousin.  There is just a full range of emotions that are seriously draining.  But thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.  He isn't out of the woods yet, but he is making progress.  God still is good and He still has a plan.  Praise the Lord for that.

So I thought I would share some pictures of what our summer days have been looking like.  Full of love and pools and friends.  I love it.  I am looking forward to school when I can get a little bit more time to myself, but I am truly enjoying our summer. 

Since we can't really have a dog {traveling too much}, my dad thought they needed some kind of animal to take care of.  So one day my dad came home from work with two baby turtles.  Can I just tell you, my boys were excited.

Well, we had just woke up puffy eyes and all...

The boys have been loving the sandbox. 

And playing in the pool with friends, a must have.

And if you follow me on Twitter you would know that I just bought myself a new Cannon Rebel T2i camera!  I am so excited about it and learning more about what it can do.  I just love having good photos!  If you have any tips for me, send them my way, I always wanting to learn more!

Red Lips - Oh la la

Liner and 1 set of fake lashes...

 Voila!  Here's the breakdown:

TOOLS:
-toothbrush or disposable mascara wand
-lip balm
-nude lip liner
-red lipstick
-eye shadow blending brush
-translucent loose powder
-lip brush
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Using a toothbrush or disposable mascara wand and lip balm,
remove any dead skin by gently scrubbing in circular motions.
2) Outline the perimeter with a nude liner to prevent feathering.
3) Apply red lipstick directly from the tube.
4) Using an eyeshadow blending brush and translucent loose powder, powder
your lips to really set the color.
5) Apply a second coat with a lip brush to smooth edges and perfect lines.

Then it was party time!  I got a night out with the girls, and it was fun!  I said to my mom that I was going to go dancing. 

"With who?" She said with a concerned look on her face. 

"My girlfriends, of course!!  No boys allowed, mom, don't worry!" 

We must have really loved this song!  LOL.

What a great night.  I love dancing.  Give me some good music and a dance floor and I'm at it!  Or just good music.  It was a much needed fun night out with my girlfriends.  

So what do you think about the red lips?  Would you rock it?  I think I want a different shade, like a little darker, not so bright.  I am not on a mission to find the perfect shade of red lipstick.  Suggestions?
