No Super Mom here

Okay.  So we need to talk.  I need some other opinions.

Since I have been back in America, about 2 months, I have pretty much fallen off the wagon.  Like, blogging wise.  I really love to blog, I do, but I am just not able to find the time.  I have been busy with summer things.  Like the pool, park, movies, hanging out with friends, jiu jitsu practice, watching other people's kids, you know, the regular things.
And I love it, I really do.  I love spending this time with my kids.  Watching their skin get darker because of the amount of time they spend outside or in the pool.  I love our little family vacations which we don't get to do much of when we are in France.  I love our church friends and family and being involved as much as we can there.  I just love summer.  I am loving our summer.

Then there is blogging.  And reading blogs. And staying updated on Twitter and Facebook and trying to understand Pinterest.  And comment on other bloggers and read new ones.  I am sure I am even missing things that I somehow should be doing.  Phew!

So here is my question: How the heck do you moms do it?  I can understand a little better if you don't have kids, because man do they take up a ton of time!  And yet, I know there are moms out there who homeschool their kids, work or own a shop, blog full time, and appear to do it all gracefully!  These are the super moms of the world.

No Super here!  Just mom.  And although I love and embrace my role as 'mother', I know there has to be a better balance to life.  I started this blog so that I can have time for me, something for me.  Now I am loosing site of that because I have horrible time management skills.  There has to be a better balance.

So what do you all do?  Mom or not, I know most women have a lot going on in their lives and a lot of you balance it great.  So I need advice.  I would love to hear how everyone else balances everything going on in their lives.

And with all that in mind, I'm SORRY!  I have been awful at reading everyone's blogs and I seriously need it!  I miss it!  I miss the inspiration I get from everyone's lives!  I miss linky parties and meeting new people.  So forgive my absense as I learn to balance this crazy thing called life.  I can't wait to read all the suggestions!

I give myself permission!

I saw this on Eisy Morgan, one of my favorite places to stop by, and I thought that it fit me perfectly.  I became a mom, got married, and moved to France for the first time (not speaking French at this time) all in one year.  It was a hard time, and then after that first year our family went through some financially hard times.  We are coming out of those times, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and I am realizing how having my two kids and being a mom, I have almost completely lost time and energy for myself.  This blog is rediscovering a lot of things in my life.  I love crafts.  I love makeup.  I used to love fashion.  I love having a creative outlet.

So now, I am reinventing myself.  Living all aspects of my life that I enjoy.  Which, awesomely enough, makes me love my time/job as a wife and mom sooo much more.  Because I have balance.  I am excited to continue the journey and be inspired by all you lovely bloggers out there!  What an awesome world!
I give myself permission to live.

Cleaning out my closet

So part of the reason I am doing this blog is to get back confidence in myself and relearn how to dress for myself'.  Since having my first son, I kinda fell off the wagon.  Since I was/am a stay at home mom, it was hard to feel the need to look cute.  I know this doesn't apply to every mom, but hey, we all got issues.  So anyway, after having my second AND FINAL son I have been thinking.  I need to be cute!!  There is no good reason why I shouldn't.  I owe it to my husband, to have a cute wife.  I owe it to my boys to have a mom that is put together.  And most importantly, I owe it to myself.  So hold on ladies, or gents, or whatever, I am gonna go on a ride.  A fashion ride!

So here is my eensie teensie dilema... My closet, it is eensie teensie.  Like, close your eyes, don't look.  You might break down crying out of sheer pity for me.  Then send me money to get a new one.  Thanks!  But see, since we travel a lot and move every year, we have to have what is available to us.  I have to make due.

I know.  I am in tears just looking at it.  And the worst part, (I know your thinking 'it can get worse?') is that my 'section' is the top left.  Yes, I have a section of this eensie teensie closet.

So herein lies my problem.  Or part of my problem.  I don't have a proper closet, I don't have a ton of clothes, the clothes I have a pretty boring, and we don't have a ton of money to be shopping for new ones!  Bummer!!

But here is my answer.  I am going to take the 30x30 challenge.  If you don't know about it, check it out.  I am going to pick 30 pieces of clothing {which might be my entire closet} and remix them for a month.  I think this will help my fashion sense, to see what I like, it will help me be creative, it will definitely help me shop smart when it is over because I will know what I need in my wardrobe.  I am super duper excited about this adventure.  It is a long time comin'!!!  Please, join me, I would love to get advice or feedback!

*Can I just add that I am super embarressed to put this picture up.  It was next on my to-do list, clean the closet.  But then I totally sterilized te upstairs.  So Sorry!*
