So I thought it would be fun to do a post to highlight some of your awesome comments! Kind of like a reader appreciation type of thing. Let's give it a go, shall we?
Last Thursday, I wrote Goodbye Google Friend Connect about how for bloggers on another platform than Blogger will be losing their Google Friend Connect.
I loved what Esther from Lovingly Thrown Together had to say: "I love my blog and I love that I have a place to share my thoughts and ideas. I love the community around blogs. It's been a blessing. I'll probably remove GFC in the coming weeks... but I have to admit I'll miss the excitement that comes when I see that number rise even by just one."
- I totally agree with you, Esther! It is exciting to watch your numbers grow! But as you said, the community is so worth it!
Then on Friday, since I was on a GFC kick/rant I wrote My Thoughts on GFC and Other Things. I loved the responses. Here are a couple:
Gina from {Acute Designs} said: "Great post. It is so easy to get wrapped up in the numbers and lose sight of why I started blogging in the first place. I didn't start to "win" with the most followers or get rich. I started because I love blogs, love to write, and had some stuff to share."
- Love it, Gina. I totally agree! We all have something to share, and each is unique! I think that is what makes it interesting!
LP from A Crafty Southern Chick said: "I want and like that sense of community. I would hate to feel the necessity to grow so large I could no longer 'get to know' my readers. I would rather have 20 loyal followers than 2,000 just hoping to be 'found' through one of my linky's or something."
- I really loved this comment because it is so true. What's the point to have a ton of followers that you don't know or never comment or don't care about what you write? I know we all put in a lot of work blogging. It is nice to hear from people!
Mrs. MacKenzie from Just Another Girl said: "I blog because I need a creative outlet, and because I want to have something to remember this period in my life by."
- Me too, Mrs. MacKenziee, me too. I love the creative outlet for me as well as the amount of inspiration I get from other bloggers!
Over on the Ma Nouvelle Mode Facebook page there was some talk going on about a few pictures posted. I love reading people's opinions because a lot of them are different and they all have very good points.
Zara of Eat, Shop, and Be Married said this about the 'This or These' pictures posted on Facebook:"I would have to say the bag. I've come to the conclusion that I'd rather have fewer things but high quality items. I am willing to spend a good chunk of money on a classic piece like the bag. I would also be willing to spend a good chunk for nice boots, and real pearl earrings. :-)"
And these beauties were a bit controversial! Personally, I love them. I think they could be rocked all sorts of ways. However, the overwhelming majority of Facebook comments were that they looked like jammies! In fact, Leslie from Fabulously Flawed said: "Hmm, they remind me of pajama bottoms that shrunk in the wash."
I must say, I most definitely wouldn't have worn them with those shoes.
I love the convo ladies!! Keep it up! It is so much fun and always encouraging to hear everyone's opinions. Make sure you like our Facebook page for more fun updates and steals&deals throughout your week!
Happy Weekend!

I love the community we make up on here. :)
I already love your blog, lifestyle, fashion...but what sells me on you, your blog, is that you genuinely care about your readers, and what they think of your blog! Now, I'm not saying you should do anything other than what makes YOU happy--it IS your blog--but you have a really great personal touch. I feel like you just live down the street and we could totally hang out.
nice post. :)

I love this idea - recapping with some of your favorite comments. The community is really what makes blogging so awesome!
