Big Hair: Big Poncho

So Monday was a glorious day for me.  My husband got up with the boys, got Tae off to school and was off to his morning practice.  I got to wake up a little later, hang out with the E-man for a bit and take my time getting ready.

Here's where the good stuff comes in...

I walked down our little hill and took the tram into the city, by myself, and hang out and shop.  By myself, for a few hours.  It was delightful.  For those of you who think it is silly that I am so excited that I got to go by myself either have grandparents or babysitters close by.  I have neither.  So this was special.

Now I need your help!!  I bought this poncho thing.  Husband says it's a no-go.  Whaddya think?

And I was just having fun with the hair.  Thought I'd go curly for the day.  Kinda liked the fro!

I thought it looked cozy and cute in the store, but this is what happens when you shop by yourself, no girlie opinions!!

So I need your opinions!!! Tags are still on it and I think I can take it back.  It was on sale so who knows, we're not in America anymore...  things are different 'round here.
Stackable rings: H&M; Earrings: Pimpkie (French store); Poncho & undershirt: Promod (French store); Jeans: Rock Republic; Boots: no idea, they're old.

And as much as I value my loving husband's opinion, I want to know what you think!! Keep it or take it back!

  2. Not a fan. I do like the poncho trend but I think this one is definitely too long. And while it's much more cute belted, you can see that it's still way too bulky. Sorry.

  3. I shopped at Pimpkie while in France! I loved that shop. I think you could make it work....but' i'd like it better with leggings vs. jeans and short sleeves vs. long underneath. Just my opinion though. Does look very cozy!!

  5. I quite like it! Looks very comfy cozy and I even think I like it alone but belted is more flattering. Seems to be a quintessential 'fall' item!

Love the hair and makeup too! My hair is similar in color- we've been calling it Cherry Cola :)

  6. I like it, but only belted. I also think that it would work best with short sleeves or a cami underneath with leggings :).

  8. I'm gonna be honest and say that I don't like it. It dies look better belted. But when I think of a poncho I wouldn't want it to be with all those holes lol reminds me of my grandma's afghan wrapped around ya. Lol

How did you get your hair so curly?!?! I don't think my hair could do that!!

  13. I love it! Since it is a loose knit it doesn't bulk you out and I actually prefer it without the belt!

  17. I like it, but if you have a hard time finding something to wear it with or places to wear it to then it might not be worth it. I guess it all comes down to how much you paid for it lol!

  21. I hear ya about shopping by yourself!! So refreshing!! Beautiful pics especially the last one!!
I say that the poncho is a no...it swallows you!! (Is that what a poncho is supposed to do?) But I do thinking it's the fashionable version of the snuggie!! Ha!

  23. Can you PLEASE do a tutorial on the big curly hair??? or if you already have link it? Thanks! Love the look =)

  24. Dude. Totally keep it!!
I'm a firm believer that not everything has to be tight, fitted, or tailored to look cute!
Some days you just wanna wear a big ponch/sweater.

Also- I think it's pretty normal for a guy not to like the look. I have some long cardigans I wear all the time that my husband lovingly refers to as my "granny sweaters".
    HA.

Also. I am so in love with your hair. It is super super cute!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and following!!
I just got those wedding pictures back, and I'm so happy with them!
